Front wheel issue

I have a 21” front rim with a hub that has a max inner diameter of 120.75 mm. I do not know the make or model. The drum brake is from the stock ct1b and the pads do not engage with the sidewall because the expanded diameter is 113 mm and there is no gear for the speedometer to work. What is your opinion on this? How could I make it work or should I get a new rim/hub assembly to fit the brake?

The front fork width is 118 mm and the hub from side to side is 129.25 mm. It was previously put together but it is not the correct way because it may bend the fork stanchions. Would changing out to the stock huh and rim fit this gap?

Thanks

If it were me, I'd go back and gather up the correct Yamaha parts and put it back to stock.

That's a mid 70's Kawasaki hub you currently have . . . Likely a KE125 or 175, but could be from any number of models.

IMHO . . . . . I wouldn't waste my time and money trying to make a Kawasaki wheel fit between a set of Yamaha forks.

I've been enjoying your site but you can imagine my surprise to find my 1970 CT1 pictured with the girl from down the street as the cover shot for the CT1 spec sheet! Pic taken on my front lawn. kurt@trailrider.com
