This is concerning my 1973 CT3175. I just replaced all four bulbs on my turn signals both front and rear with OEM Yamaha bulbs I bought from Partzilla. When I turn the turn signal right or left they flash a few times and then they stop? Is this a bad relay, wire. Etc.? This just started happening. They worked fine until this past week.

Wow, was that so helpful! Thank you so much. Thanks to you guys, I have really been enjoying keeping up on this bike! I’ll let you know how it goes when I get the new flasher…

I noticed I have to put the male and female connectors back on the wires coming from the bike to hook up the original Yamaha flasher coming from eBay. With that being said which one would have the male and which one would have the female? If you see the picture, one wire is red and one wire is black. Also, I wanted to check out the rest of the wiring. I want to remove the fuel tank. I noticed I can release the back of the tank (by the battery) from a rubber cord, but how would I remove the front of it?
Done ✅
Sounds good thank you I will definitely order that one from eBay. The one I was holding in my hand says “Yamaha” and looks exactly like the one you showed from EBay. It was in a box of extra parts that came with the bike. I was going to try to put it back on to see if it worked, but it looked like it was in pretty bad shape. The one that’s on the bike now does not say Yamaha, it actually says Taiwan. I will order the one from EBay and see what happens from there. Thanks brother.
OK, I removed all four new bulbs and cleaned out the sockets and wiped the end of the bulbs real nice with the steel wool. Put it back together and it’s still the same. The lights turn on very dim, but they do not flash on both sides.
I forgot to mention that the exact same symptoms happened before I replaced the bulbs
