Small rubber plugs?

Hey guys, I’m rebuilding a 1974RD 200 twin and I’m wondering what these four holes are for? Do I leave the rubber in the holes or do I remove and or replace them?

Hello Brent . . . How goes it

Do you still have the CT3?

Those 4 rubber bits you see, are part of a larger crankcase seal down below.

The only way to get at it (for replacement sake), is to split the cases.

I advise you just leave it be, if you don't have a good reason to tear the whole motor apart ... just saying, this is not a job for beginners.

If you look around on the home page, you will see a section called "Street Library"

You will find everything you want to know about your bike in this section.

See the attached photos below and look for the service manual, or, the parts manual ... both have the diagram showing the rubber seal you discovered ... part number 14.
