Absolutely ... the engineers that designed these rings are a heck of a lot smarter then the Joe Blows out there that say "don't use them".

Here are some of the benefits they give . . .

1. Less noise ... they cushion the crown of the piston from slamming against the cylinder wall (esp. @ tdc) ... during combustion

2. Less piston rock ... which translates into better ring sealing.

3. Helps keep the rings from getting stuck in place from carbon build-up
