Has anyone experienced this problem with their AT 1 E.
The carb fill port needle valve keeps dropping out into the bowl. Bike stops. Won't start of course. I changed the one that was originally in as the one I had was wider. I experimented by making a clip from lock wire and it's worked for the past 300 miles. I noticed fuel starting to flood out which obviously happens.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

69 DT1B with 517 miles on the clock.
One owner from Colorado as you can see.
Came with the title .
I opened the tool box lid and there they were. Complete set of tools in the pouch.

I have this problem of buying old Yamahas without a title. I only hope to get them back to their former glory. But once I get them complete they seem worthless without a title. Has anyone had experience with these on line title companies? Thanks, Steve
Vermont used to be the loophole most people used. That loophole is no longer available, I suspect the other states were pressuring them. Since then, I have not used a title service that you mentioned. I was thinking about doing it. If I end up using a title service I will be posting my review.

Hello, I have a Yamaha DT 175 H that I have been fixing up and making street legal again.
I have taken off the clutch side of the engine cover multiple times at this point and don’t really want to do it again if I don’t have too… but I am leaking oil that goes to my autolube pump. It is leaking at the connection between the oil tank and the hose that goes into the pump… pretty significantly.
In an effort to not have to pull the engine again and put a tighter clip on that hose, can I run the auto pump with no oil going to it and just mix the oil with the fuel before hand?
I am asking bc some pumps don’t run dry without self destructing. Thank you for any help!
Why not replace the line, Open the bleed screw and fill the line, then prime the pump with the small delivery line banjo bolt loose?
If it hasn’t run in a while and someone has dorked with, it may be in your best interest to understand the adjustments of the cables. Measure the minimum delivery gap, and then a pump volume test for idle and full throttle.

Does anyone know how many 1969 DT1-s were delivered to the USA? I see the total production was 1472 and I have read some were shipped to Australia. Thanks, Steve
The data we have, that Enduronut provided, is for USA models. We do not have the data for the Australia model. The Australia model was also not the same, it was the DT1SA. It also had a few different parts then the USA model. I would love to add the data/numbers of the other countries, to the website, if someone has that information.
