The test ride went well! The bike has been moved from my workshop and is now parked in the barn with the rest of the herd. My wife refers to the barn as my Yamaha Rescue Shelter, except nothing ever leaves the shelter for a new home.
It's a J & R that I found on eBay that was never used. It had all the mounting hardware and the silencer. It even came with the instructions and a J & R decal. lol The paint is messed up right now but I wanted to check the fit before I repaint it.
Ordered a set of engine mounting bolts off eBay since the ones it had were not correct. And I need to find a 19" knobby for the the front. I buy take-offs because I have way too many bikes to put new tires on them all. I have a 120/90 for the rear, but I'm not sure it will fit in the swing arm. I'm not against trimming the knobs if it's close. lol
IT'S ALIVE!!
New tires on order. Can't wait to give this thing a good thrashing.

The seat looks a little better now. I was told the original owner parked the bike within reach of a horse!
I also wet sanded and clear coated the original paint on the tank.
Little by little
Looks great Shu..... I always liked the color scheme of 1975.

Getting into the fun part soon.
